Ultrasonic thickness gauge control in "continuous" mode through the use of robots / crawlers

Brick crawler is a light and robust system designed to perform the residual thickness control, in a fast and reliable way.

Brick crawler is a light and robust system designed to perform the residual thickness control, in a fast and reliable way.

Generally it is used for the verification of the residual thickness when the component to be checked cannot be reached except with the construction of scaffolding (storage tanks, spheres, columns etc.).

It can also work on convex and concave surfaces with a diameter of 2 meters and on painted surfaces.

BRICK is equipped with 4 drive wheels (4 independent engines) which allow it to easily overtake the weld seams. It can also be used on studded tanks up to several millimeters in thickness. The total attractive force of the magnetic wheel is 500 N.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Possibility of reaching high altitudes without scaffolding
  • Continuous scanning in A-Scan, B-Scan
  • Recording of data in digital format

Thanks to the possibility of customizing the magnetic trolleys, ISPECO can also control overhead pipes up to DN. 100 (4 in).

Advantages of using the Robot Crawler Brick in thickness gauge ultrasound checks

  • High altitudes can be reached without the construction of scaffolding
  • Continuous scanning in A-Scan, B-Scan
  • Data recording in digital format.
