The reflectance measures on the storage tanks of hydrocarbons and auxiliary products having a vapor pressure greater than 13 mbar at a temperature of 20 ° C are necessary in order to comply with Legislative Decree No.152 of 3 April 2006 "Code on the Environment” part V annex I section 2 and annex VII section 2 §1.1 (Requirements for petrol storage facilities at terminals: Coatings).

The legislation requires that the external walls and the roofs of the surface storage systems must be painted in a color with a total radiant heat reflection equal to or greater than 70%.

Compliance with these requirements must be certified by the operator with a declaration stating that, for the painting, paints certified by the supplier have been used, applied according to rules of good technique.

Following this measure, the subsequent interventions of painting will be scheduled (the standard requires that the coating used must be restored when the reflection value becomes less than 45%.)

In order to certify this reflectance value, ISPECO is equipped with a light and compact instrument that allows:

• rapid measurements of samples hitherto difficult to measure
• simple, repeatable and controllable measurements
