Magnetoscopy - MT and Dye penetrants - PT

Magnetoscopy

The control with magnetic particles is performed to search for surface and sub-surface defects on welds, castings and forgings of ferromagnetic material.

Electromagnetic yokes, permanent magnets, ferrules and copper braids are used to create magnetic fields on the piece in the area to be checked.

ISPECO uses the magnetic detectors suitable for every need (in powder, in spray suspension, phosphorescent).

The check with penetrating liquids is performed to search for surface discontinuities.

Dye penetrants

The check with penetrating liquids is performed to search for surface discontinuities.

Unlike control with magnetic particles, dye penetrants can also be performed on non-ferromagnetic materials (stainless steel).
With special suspensions, the check can also be performed up to 150 ° C and it is not susceptible to the geometry of the piece.

We use different types of penetrants (powder, wet, spray suspension etc.) to adapt to any type of material and defect to be detected.
